PickyStory’s newest feature, PickyCart, is now available on all PickyStory plans. We wanted to show you how to use the PickyCart, and how it can benefit your store by increasing your conversion rate (CR) and average order value (AOV).
PickyCart is PickyStory’s new cart feature. It can be added to any theme, and acts as a slide-out cart drawer, shown on the right-hand side of the screen when opened. PickyCart has two main sections; in the upper section, the products added to the cart are displayed. In the lower section, a “recommended for your cart” section is displayed.
PickyCart has a clean, simple design that makes it easy for the customers to see what’s already in their cart, while also highlighting “recommended products” to encourage customers to buy more, and also to help them find products they might be interested in.
In general, slide carts are advantageous because they are less disruptive to the customer’s shopping flow. They don’t have to leave the current page they are on when adding a product to the cart – the product is simply added and displayed in the slide cart, allowing the customer to keep shopping (and hopefully adding more products to the cart).
PickyCart takes things one step further by offering AI-based product recommendations that can be displayed in the cart. This means that PickyCart has several advantages over traditional slide carts:
PickyCart has a lot to offer, and being part of PickyStory’s overall platform, you can use the cart in conjunction with upsell and cross-sell deals on your product pages, popups, shoppable galleries, flexible discount rules, and more. We’ve got it covered!
As mentioned, PickyCart displays recommended products in the cart. It’s important to note that this product selection isn’t random – these products are carefully selected based on the products your customer already has in their cart. So, how does this work?
Basically, PickyCart uses PickyStory’s AI-based algorithm to generate product recommendations. The algorithm uses your existing sales data to select products that are commonly purchased together, in order to offer the product combination in the cart that’s most likely to result in a sale.
As you can see in the example above, the customer has two lipsticks in their cart. PickyCart is showing a product recommendation – a lip liner. This product is closely related to the other two products, meaning there is a higher percentage of the customer adding this product to their cart.
PickyCart is automatically compatible with all Shopify themes. You don’t need any code – just enable PickyCart in your store and start increasing your AOV and store revenue.
Enabling PickyCart in your store couldn’t be easier – it’s literally a one-click process. From your Shopify admin, navigate to the PickyStory app. Then, enable PickyCart by switching the toggle to the “on” (green) position. It’s that easy!
